INKTOBER 2018-2020

Inktober - a popular month-long drawing challenge that originated on Instagram in 2015, provided me with a unique opportunity to showcase my illustration, photo editing, and video editing. Inspired by Gabriel Picolo's 365 days challenge and skillful ink use in his artwork, I decided to take on the official Inktober prompt list in 2018 and again in 2019.

During the challenge, I created a collection of my favorite ink illustrations, incorporating my style and occasionally referencing my favorite video games and Japanese movies. I improved from the previous year by experimenting with a soft pastel color palette and trying out different ink pens. I even launched a TikTok channel to reach a broader audience to share my Inktober illustrations.

Despite the challenges of 2020, I took my time and focused on the details in my illustrations, even though I didn't complete the challenge. My TikTok channel experienced rapid growth in October, which motivated me to keep creating. It's been an exciting journey to see my illustrations resonate with a larger audience on TikTok, and I'm grateful for the support and inspiration throughout this year!

TikTok followers increased by 490%, with total video views exceeding 36k. The highest-viewed video received 27.9k views, with a 284% in views in one week!
